The Container Store

Process

Here you will see our 3 part process from start to finish

island drawers

We needed something that would be able to house all of heavy tile and stone material. The Container Store Custom Closets suggested a center island. Not only would we have a a place for materials, but also a surface for sketching new product design. Stone mosaics, marble slab, Spanish tile… these drawers hold them all.

Angled Shelves

One of our favorite features are our angled shelves. Rather than shoes, we our angled shelves would be used to hold tile samples. Having them at an angle makes it so much more convenient when working on powder rooms, shower pans, and kitchen backsplashes.

Hanging Rod

Where many would hang tops and sweaters, we chose to hang carpet samples. Hanging our samples would allow us easily identify specific colors, vendors, and simply speed up our design process

Built in shelves

Future advice to all designers: never underestimate how many samples you really have… With that being said, these built in shelves were a last minute edition to our sample room.

BASKETS

Extra storage was a must for my team and I. The Container Store had the most adorable selection making our process so easy. We narrowed it down and went with the Hyacinth bins. Here is where all of our fabric would live.

We are so grateful for The Container Store Custom Closets and their ability to bring our Sample Room dreams to life!
